Tom Kerridge set to open third Greene King pub

Tom Kerridge, the Michelin-starred celebrity chef, is teaming up with Greene King as well as with friend and butcher Andy Cook to open The Butcher's Tap in Marlow. As reported by the Morning Advertiser, this opening marks Kerridge's third gastropub site and the new venture will operate as a butcher's by day and a meat focussed gastropub from 5pm onwards. The Butcher's Tap is set to open in November.

Turnover and profit growth announced by Robinsons Brewery

According to Pub and Bar magazine, Robinsons Brewery has reported a 7.9% increase in turnover, now totalling £68.3m. Whilst pre tax profits grew by 13.3% to £4.1m, external sales also increased, resulting in total revenue growth of 9.9%. With three additions, Robinsons' managed estate now totals 10 sites, whilst the tenanted estate totals 270 pubs.

Third site for Cinnamon Kitchen at Battersea Power Station

The Cinnamon Collection, the restaurant group specialising in contemporary Indian cuisine, is set to open its third site in November at Battersea Power Station according to The Caterer. Having been built in 1930, Battersea Power Station has been closed for more than 25 years. Alongside a new 120 cover, 4,700 sq ft Cinnamon Kitchen, the Grade II listed building will also house Apple's HQs as well as London's first art'otel, managed by PPHE Group.

39% increase in revenue for Brighton Pier Group

As reported by The Caterer, Brighton Pier Group, formerly known as Eclectic Bar Group, has announced revenue figures of £31.1m, marking a 39% increase, to the year end 25th June 2017. The group acquired the pier last April for £18m and have reported £3.5m in pre tax profits, marking a 287% increase.

RedefineBDL Hotels to manage Aprirose 26 hotels

As reported by Hotel Owner, Aprirose acquired 26 four-star luxury hotels from QHotels in a £525m investment transaction. The 26 hotels have a combined annual turnover in excess in £190m. RedefineBDL Hotels has now assumed management of the estate. RedefineBDL Hotels will now manage more than 75 hotels and 3,000 rooms.

Liverpool has been announced as the next location for Coyote Ugly, the Western-themed bar that inspired the movie, reported Paul Charity of Propel Info. The original bar is located in New York, however Cardiff saw the first UK opening in December. Liverpool marks the bars second UK site after winning a public vote, beating London and other UK cities.
