Ennismore's NoCo brand to open in Canary Wharf
As reported by The Caterer, Ennismore has secured its first site for its new budget brand, NoCo, signing a 25-year lease. The new hotel will reside at 15 Water Street building, part of the Wood Wharf development in Canary Wharf, London. Designed by Allies and Morrison and constructed by Canary Wharf Group, the building is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2021. The 100,000 sq ft hotel will possess 312 bedrooms and marks the first of 25 intended UK sites.
Goose Island to open East London brewpub
Goose Island, the Chicago-based brewery, is set to open The Goose Brew House in Shoreditch this summer, according to The Morning Advertiser. This opening marks Goose Island's sixth internationally and second in London, its first being in Balham in 2016. Goose Island was bought by AB InBev in 2011.
Moxy hotel set to open at the NEC
A new 224 bedroom Moxy hotel, Marriott International's lifestyle brand, is set to launch at the National Exhibition Centre in Solihull next year, according to The Caterer. Planning permission has been secured from Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council by the Dutch developer Vastint Hospitality, and construction of the eight-storey hotel is expected to commence in June. The hotel is expected to open mid 2019.
Red Mist Leisure acquire new pub in Hampshire
Red Mist Leisure has completed on The Temple Inn in Liss Forest, Hampshire, marking the Surrey-based group's 10th site. Pub and Bar reported that £300,000 will be invested in the 70-cover pub, which was acquired from Fuller's.
White City to welcome new Wellbourne Brasserie restaurant
Wellbourne Brasserie has opened a new site in London's White City, marking the restaurants third location, the second site being in Salardu, Spain. The concept was launched in Bristol in August by Ross Gibbens, former head chef of Dabbous and senior sous chef Michael Kennedy. According to Propel Info, the new Wellbourne Brasserie is located on the former BBC site.

Burgh Island Hotel, off the coast of Devon, has been acquired by an investment group led by Office Space in Town, one of the top providers of serviced offices in the UK. This deal marks their first transaction within the leisure and hotels sector. The Grade-II listed Art Deco hotel is now set to undergo a multimillion pound refurbishment, which may see the addition of a luxury spa as well as private members club. According to Boutique Hotelier, the hotel has welcomed many notable guests, including: Agatha Christie, Winston Churchill and The Beatles.
