Secure Income Reit acquires two portfolios

Real estate investment trust, Secure Income Reit has acquired a portfolio of 18 pubs, let to or guaranteed by Stonegate Pub Company. Additionally, the second portfolio acquired comprises of 59 hotels, currently let to Travelodge. According to Propel Info the double deal was worth £436m and takes Secure Income's property portfolio from 81 sites to 177.

Friska opens Manchester restaurant

Healthy eating brand Friska has opened its latest restaurant in Manchester city centre, according to Propel Info. Having opened the first Friska in 2009 in Bristol, the Manchester opening will mark Friska's 10th venue and is located in St Peter's Square.

New openings planned, as Be At One's like-for-like sales increase

Cocktail bar specialist, Be At One announced a 7% increase in their current like-for-like sales, according to Propel Info. Furthermore, chief operating officer, Andrew Stones, announced plans to open up to seven new Be At One sites in 2018, spread 50-50 between London and the regions. The Piper backed chain currently operates 33 bars.

Country Hotel Bath acquired by the Kaleidoscope Collection

Kaleidoscope Collection, owned by Ian and Christa Taylor, has acquired the 22-bedroom Country Hotel Bath, which they intend to turn into a boutique hotel, adding an additional eight rooms. Kaleidoscope Collection recently disposed of Bath's Abbey Hotel, however also own No.15 Great Pulteney in Bath. According to Boutique Hotelier the Kaleidoscope Collection are seeking to acquire several additional properties going forward.

Pho to open in Guildford

Pho, the Vietnamese restaurant, is set to launch its latest site in Guildford's town centre, reports Eat Out Magazine. Pho will be housed within a 3,700 sq. ft. space within a new retail and leisure development within the Tunsgate Quarter.

Propel Info has reported that the global entertainment company, Escape Hunt, has marked its first UK site with an opening in Bristol. Offering "escape room" experiences, this is the first of three sites to open this month, with openings planned for Leeds and Birmingham. A further five sites will follow in the coming months.
