Fleurets market 11 Antic pubs

London pub operator, Antic, led by Antony Thomas and backed by Downing, has introduced 11 pubs to the market with Fleurets, reports Propel Info. The limited life funding structure in the 11 sites has matured, subsequently being offered to the market on either a leased/managed contract, with Antic London remaining in situ, or vacant possession.

Pandox acquires Manchester's Midland Hotel from Aprirose

Pandox, a Swedish hotel investment company, has agreed to purchase Manchester's Midland Hotel from Aprirose for £115m. The Caterer continues that Pandox is partnering with Fattal Hotels Group who will operate the Midland under its Leonardo Hotels brand.

The Plotting Parlour to open new Brighton pub

From the creators of Brighton's The Plotting Parlour comes Daddylonglegs, which will be located in the former New Bush pub in Kemp Town, Brighton. Having acquired the pub from Fleurets, the property is currently closed for refurbishment with an opening date yet to be announced. The pub takes its names from Volk's insect-like Brighton and Rottingdean Seashore Electric Railway, which carried tourists from Kemp Town through the shallow waters to Rottingdean between the years of 1896 to 1901. Remnants of the structure, with its 7m stilts can still be seen at low tide today.

Marston's acquire 15 M&B pubs

The Morning Advertiser has reported that Marston's has agreed to acquire 15 Mitchells & Butlers sites from Aprirose. Furthermore, Marston's will invest £4m after the acquisition, expecting to reach an EBITDA of £500,000 in 2019, and over £1m in 2020.

New Premier Inn to be built in Finsbury Park

Premier Inn owner, Whitbread has been granted permission by Islington Council to develop a 192-bedroom Premier Inn hotel in Finsbury Park, London. Partnering with Ide Construction, Whitbread has a 25-year lease on the site and the new hotel is anticipated to open in 2010. The Caterer continues that the eight story hotel will be located on Seven Sisters Road.

And Finally...

Burger chain, Honest Burger, witnessed a 43% sales increase for the year ending January 2018. The sales increased by £6.7m to £22.3m, which has been attributed to a series of new openings, including regional sites in Cambridge and Reading. The Caterer reports that the restaurant chain is set to open seven new sites this financial year as well as invest £1m in order to set up an in-house butchery.
