Shepherds restaurant in Westminster is available
Shepherds restaurant in Westminster, London, is available. Propel reports that the restaurant was historically owned by actor Sir Michael Caine, Irish restaurateur Peter Langan and Richard Shepherd. The Marsham Street 62-cover restaurant has art deco-style interiors, two private dining rooms and is being marketed by Fleurets.
Mowgli eyes further regional expansion
Indian street food restaurant Mowgli, which is backed by investment company Foresight Group, is looking to expand to Brighton, Newcastle, Bath, Coventry and Preston. The group currently operates 10 restaurants across the country. A Bristol site will open later this month, followed by Glasgow, Edinburgh and Leeds next year. Big Hospitality reports that openings this year included Cardiff, Manchester and Leicester.
Thornbridge & Co to open Birmingham and Leeds venues
Multiple operator Thornbridge & Co will be opening venues in Birmingham and Leeds, reports The Morning Advertiser. The Colmore in Birmingham opened on Monday 9th December and the Bankers Cat in Leeds opens on Wednesday 11th. Thornbridge & Co have plans to expand into Manchester and Sheffield next year.
Owners of Pho consider sale to fund expansion
Pho's private equity investors, Gresham House, are reputedly considering the sale of the business in order to raise the funds to acquire new sites, reports Big Hospitality. The first Pho restaurant opened in Clerkenwell in 2005. Pho currently operates 29 restaurants in total, the majority of which are in London with others located in cities including Manchester, Oxford, Liverpool, Bristol and Exeter.
Individual Inns acquired by Robinsons Brewery
Cheshire-based Robinsons Brewery has acquired Individual Inns, reports The Morning Advertiser. Individual Inns comprises of six sites, and therefore Robinsons' managed estate has grown to 20 units. The acquisitions strengthens Robinsons' presence in Cumbria and also moves into Yorkshire.

Private wealth law firm Boodle Hatfield has reported the UK's luxury hotel market is strong, with 50 new openings in 2018/19, an increase of 1.5% from 2017/18. The Caterer reports that Boodle Hatfield research showed that there are 210 new hotels in London which are currently under development.
