Heineken UK selling package of 150 pubs
Heineken UK is selling a 150-strong package of pubs, worth circa £55m to £60m, reports Propel. Being sold as a single package, the majority of the properties, spread across England and Wales, are former Punch pubs and held on substantive leases.
Artist Residence set for Bristol in October
A new 23 bedroomed Artist Residence boutique hotel is set to open in Bristol this year, marking the group's fifth site, joining existing locations in Brighton, Oxfordshire, London and Penzance. The Caterer reports that the hotel will be housed in a Grade I listed part Georgian townhouse, part former boot factory, which in 2015 was listed on the 'at risk' register. The venue will also include a restaurant (named the Boot Factory), events space, café, bar and garden.
200 Degrees plans additional sites
200 Degrees, the Nottingham-based coffee retailer and roaster, is planning a further ten sites over the next two years, reports Propel. The brand's ninth site will open in Liverpool next month, with intentions for three more units by the end of 2019.
Megan's to open in Wimbledon
South London-based café and deli concept, Megan's, is intending to open a new Wimbledon venue, at 86 High Street, marking their sixth site. Propel reports that the new restaurant will join existing units in Clapham, Balham, Parsons Green and Fulham. The company are reputedly looking to raise circa £6m, intent on opening 17 sites by the end of 2021.
Second Brighton bar for L'Atelier Du Vin
L'Atelier Du Vin, the wine bar and cocktail concept, is set to open a second Brighton site later this week, reports Big Hospitality. Joining the existing 25 cover site in St George's Place, the new 45 cover unit is located in the city's Seven Dials.
And Finally...
Zero-waste restaurant Silo is set to open in September on the upper floor of Crate Brewery's White Building taproom in London's Hackney Wick. Big Hospitality reports that Silo's flagship restaurant in Brighton closed earlier this month after five years.
