Four Peach Pub Company freehold investments marketed
Fleurets is marketing four Peach Pub Company freehold investments, subject to new 25 year index linked leases. The four properties are The Rose & Crown in Warwick, The One Elm in Stratford-upon-Avon, The Richard Onslow in Cranleigh and The Swan in Salford near Milton Keynes. The total portfolio rent is £555,000 per annum and offers for the portfolio are invited in excess of £9,400,000, which reflects a NIY of 5.5% after purchaser's costs.
Pod purchased by Azzurri
Healthy eating London-based operator Pod has been purchased by Azzurri Group for an undisclosed sum reports Propel. The 22-strong chain were purchased in a pre-pack administration sale and 13 units will continue to trade, whilst nine will be closed.
Rogue City Hotels goes ahead with The Hobson in Cambridge
Rogue City Hotels has secured planning permission for The Hobson, a 57 bed luxury boutique hotel in central Cambridge. The Caterer reports that The Hobson will be the group's flagship hotel and is located on St Andrew's Street. The group's first hotel was the five-star Dunalastair Hotel Suites in Scotland.
Graffiti Spirits Group launch new concept
Graffiti Spirits Group is set to launch a chicken concept on the former Slim's Pork Chop Express in Liverpool this summer. The Seel Street site will also offer a hidden retro arcade room. The Caterer reports that Graffiti Spirits Group also operates Santa Chupitos, Salt Dogs Slims and Santa Maluco in Liverpool.
Signature Living to open Dixie Dean hotel in Liverpool
Liverpool-based hotel operator and developer, Signature Living, has confirmed the upcoming opening of the Dixie Dean football themed hotel. Following a £10m transformation, the 100-bedroom boutique hotel, situated on Victoria Street, will open on the 12th July, reports Boutique Hotelier.
And Finally...
Pub and Bar Magazine has reported that the number of UK distilleries increased by 21% in 2018 to 205 when compared to 170 in 2017. UHY Hacker Young attributes this growth to the increased popularity of artisan gin, with total UK gin sales reaching a record high last year at £2.7bn. Gin exports also increased 15% on the previous year, reaching £612m.
