Fleurets win most active Leisure/Hotels Agent award

Fleurets has yet again won the National award for most active Leisure/Hotels Agent in The EG Deals Competition 2019. Fleurets also collected first prize for the South East, West Midlands as well as tied first place for Yorkshire.

Little Orange Door to open in Clapham Common

Little Orange Door will replace Balans Soho Society, which closed its doors in April after a two and a half year run, reports Big Hospitality. The team behind Little Yellow Door bar and restaurant are opening the new site. Little Yellow Door started as an immersive pop-up in Notting Hill in 2014 and has since opened a permanent site in the area as well as sister venue The Little Blue Door in Fulham in 2018.

Brakspear's managed estate increases to 16

Pub and Bar Magazine reports that Brakspear has purchased the Egypt Mill in Nailsworth in the Cotswolds, which takes it managed estate to 16 sites. The historic pub dates back to the 16th century, possessing a restaurant as well as 32 bedrooms.

BrewDog to open in Bradford

BrewDog, the Scottish brewer and retailer, has announced that it is to open a site in Bradford. Propel reports that the opening will occupy the old Bradford Baths building on Randall Well Street, which was most recently home to the Brew Haus pub. Propel announced that work has started on the site and will become part of BrewDog's growing franchise operation.

Yakinori to open in Solihull

Japanese restaurant Yakinori has opened a site at Touchwood Shopping Centre in Solihull, marking its fourth site. Furthermore Propel has reported that Yakinori has simultaneously announced amitions to expand nationwide.

Pearmain Pubs which was created by Richard Brown and Anthony Hancock in 2008 sold five upscale public houses to Young's for an undisclosed sum. The sites include The Canbury Arms in Kingston, The Crown in Twickenham, The Grantley Arms in Wonersh, The Onslow Arms in West Clandon and The Wheatsheaf in Esher. The deal leaves Pearmain with with three pubs - The Red Lion in Horsell, The Old Plough in Stoke D'Abernon and The Three Horseshoes in Laleham. Ed Sandall, Director said "This was a fantastic instruction, with some exceptional assets, we were delighted to have been involved."
