Covid lockdown eases: 'Sense of celebration' as pubs and shops reopen
The BBC has reported that pub gardens have reopened in England, as rules are also eased in the rest of the UK. Some pubs and salons opened at midnight on Monday 12th, with one landlord saying there was a "sense of celebration". Meanwhile, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has urged everyone to "behave responsibly".

According to Big Hospitality the Government has launched a call for evidence to help monitor the overall progress of commercial rent negotiations and assess whether it needs to take further steps to protect businesses.
'Incidental' live music permitted in reopened pub gardens
The Morning Advertiser are advising that live music will be authorised when pub gardens reopen as long as performances are complementary to customers drinking or dining, and are not the main purpose of their visit.

Retail & Leisure International has advised that the world's largest urban axe throwing company Bad Axe Throwing has announced that its second venue in the UK is set to open at BOXPARK Croydon from 17th May. As part of the World Axe Throwing League, Bad Axe Throwing allows its league members to compete in competition with more than 6,000 other throwers from 310 locations and 28 countries all over the world.
Snow Centres Group snaps up Chill Factore
According to Insider Media, the Chill Factore has been acquired by the Snow Centres Group as it looks to expand its UK portfolio. Located on the outskirts of the Trafford Centre, the venue comprises a 180m main slope - the longest in the country - and a 40m lesson slope, as well as a designated fun zone for sledging and snow play. It is also home to a broad range of cafés, bars, and restaurants, alongside retail brands such as Evans Cycles and Snow & Rock.
Fazenda Birmingham to reopen after deal struck with landlord
Fazenda's Birmingham restaurant is to reopen after its new owners agreed a deal with the landlord, The Caterer has reported. The site's closure was announced in March after the South American restaurant chain was bought out of administration by Southern Wind Group. This secured the future of its Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh and Liverpool restaurants, but its Birmingham site and Picanha Chester restaurant were set to close. Now the Colmore Row venue is due to reopen on 19 May, securing 43 jobs.
