Fleurets is delighted to have completed the investment sale of The Crown on behalf of the Cloudesley Charity.
Elysia Wilson-Gunn, Divisional Director of Fleurets said, "We received a substantial amount of interest in this site, resulting in a best and final bids process. This highlights there is still demand in this market for attractive sites with strong PLC covenants in situ."
Located in an affluent part of Islington, sitting on the corner of Cloudesley Road and Cloudesley Square, the popular Islington pub has completed to Fuller's, which has been running the pub for many years.
Delyth Richards, Chair of the Islington-based Cloudesley charity, said, 'We are delighted to have sold The Crown public house to our long-standing tenants, Fullers. This will help preserve this fantastic community pub, which is an important amenity at the heart of the historic Cloudesley Estate. The grant-making charity, Cloudesley, previously owned The Crown as a property asset. We sold it to realise more funds to distribute as much-needed grants across Islington."
Cloudesley's Director, Melanie Griffiths, added, 'We chose pub and leisure property specialists Fleurets to help us with this important sale and have been delighted with their professional approach and support throughout the process."
Peter Turner, Property Director of Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC said, "We have been tenants at The Crown for many years and we are delighted to secure the freehold. It's a great pub and we look forward to continuing to be part of the Islington community."
