Young's Sells Dolphin Pub to Dorking Brewery

Young's has sold the freehold interest in The Dolphin, located in Betchworth, Surrey, to award-winning local brewer Dorking Brewery.

This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Dorking Brewery as its first purchase of a freehold public house.

Dating back to around 1785, The Dolphin, is a character village pub -- the kind of establishment many would love to have on their doorstep. The sale ensures that The Dolphin will remain part of the community, with its future secured under its new local ownership.

James Davies from Fleurets, who acted on behalf of Young's, commented: "Although we received a number of offers for the Dolphin, our client, Young's, was committed to selling to Dorking Brewery to ensure the long-term future of the pub is in the safe hands of a local operator. Dorking Brewery is a small but rapidly expanding brewer and retailer, so I am very confident they will continue the success of this fantastic pub."
