Fleurets Manchester office have brokered the letting of the Piccadilly Inn in Caerwys.
The pub has been closed since March 2022 after it struggled to recover from the disruptions of the Covid crisis. It was then put up for sale by the owners and then in August 2023, it was also offered as a potential letting.
Commenting on the deal, the property owner Mark Savva said "We are delighted that the Piccadilly Inn will be re-opening - it is a real boost for Caerwys."
The new tenant is John Thompson. He was previously operating the Gaerwen Arms in Anglesey, until it was devastated by a fire in 2023. That pub is still to re-open but John and his family are looking forward to using their experience to re-establishing the Piccadilly as a destination foodhouse. He said "We are incredibly excited to take over the Piccadilly. From all accounts it was a thriving business in the heart of the Caerwys community. We can't wait to open our doors to welcome everyone back."
Tim Martin, Divisional Director of Fleurets North West said, "This is a beautiful pub that has been crying out for an experienced operator to take charge of it once again. We are sure that the Thompson family will prove to be very successful here because they have the necessary skills, experience and connections to do so."
