Situated beside The Royal Pavilion in the heart of Brighton's cultural quarter, the property enjoys a prime position just off North Street, near The Lanes, and a short walk from the seafront. The extensively refurbished space spans 1,075 m² (11,580 ft²) across a basement, ground floor, and two upper levels.
Team Domenica is a local charity dedicated to empowering young people with learning disabilities through innovative employment programs.
The building will serve as the new home for the charity's Specialist Further Education college and training centre, dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities on their path to paid employment. It will also feature a high-quality café and bar, located at the former All Bar One site.
Since 2016, Team Domenica has empowered young people with learning disabilities through education, skills training, and employment opportunities, with over 80% of its candidates securing paid work through its Supported Internship programme -- far exceeding the national average of 4.7%. This new central hub will enhance its unique programmes, combining education, employment training, and ongoing support.
Importantly, by operating a high-standard café and bar in such a visible location, the charity will challenge perceptions and showcase the talents of its candidates to wider society.
Team Domenica Founder & Chairman, Baroness Rosa Monckton MBE commented: "This will put Team Domenica -- and our candidates -- at the very heart of Brighton in a spectacular and historic building. More than just a space, it will be a beacon of hope and opportunity, proving what people with learning disabilities can achieve when given the right support, respect, and belief."
Elysia Wilson-Gunn, Divisional Director of Fleurets London said: "We are very pleased to have facilitated the sale of this prominent Brighton property to Team Domenica. Their inspiring mission will bring new life to the space. It will be exciting to see the evolution of the site and we look forward to seeing their vision take shape."
Nick Earee, Divisional Director of Fleurets South, who worked alongside Elysia on the deal, added: "Having known this prime site since joining the Brighton Office in 1992 I am delighted to have been involved in this high-profile city centre instruction."
