The freehold of the 14-bedroom hotel and former coaching inn has been acquired by TLC Holdings.
Phil Roberts, who has operated the Hand Hotel for the past eight years, commented: "We are pleased to have sold the hotel to a party who intends to continue the successful business that we established during our tenure. This was a genuine retirement sale and we are very happy with the service received from Fleurets. Alistair kept us up to date with progress throughout the process and secured a well-funded private company to acquire our freehold interest."
The new owners, TLC Holdings Ltd, are excited to announce their plans for the Hand Hotel, which include opening a new hotel, restaurant, and bar.
The purchaser TLC Holdings Director, David Kamau, said: "The building has so much history attached to it, and we know how much the Hand Hotel means to the people in Chirk as well as the many visitors to the area, we hope that when we open a brand-new hotel, restaurant and bar service in a few days' time, visitors will once again enjoy a local, community based resource."
Alistair Greenhalgh, Fleurets Northwest Divisional Director, added: "We're pleased to have facilitated the sale of the Hand Hotel, one of the oldest inns in north-east Wales. This sale is further evidence of the strong start to 2025, which we have experienced in the hotel transactional market."
